I am truly grateful that faith enables me to move past the question of ‘Why?’ 

Though I am not always responsible for what happens to me, I am responsible for how I handle what happens to me. 

When there is hope in the future, there is power in the present, and since hope is the foundational quality of all change, there is considerable reason to be excited…. 

The most important persuasion tool you have in your entire arsenal is integrity. 

Some people find fault like there is a reward for it 

Motivation is the fuel, necessary to keep the human engine running. 

When you put faith, hope and love together, you can raise positive kids in a negative world. 

Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days. 

Make today worth remembering. 

Quite frequently, he who goes too fast gets there too late – or not at all. 

If you don’t have daily objectives, you qualify as a dreamer. 

If you’re sincere, praise is effective. If you’re insincere, it’s manipulative. 

The message is clear. It is not what is happening ‘out there.’ It is what is happening between your ears. It’s your attitude that counts. 

Be firm on principle but flexible on method. 

Kids don’t make up 100 percent of our population, but they do make up 100 percent of our future. 

The way you see people is the way you treat them. 

Evidence is conclusive that your self-talk has a direct bearing on your performance. 

Success and happiness are not matters of chance but choice. 

It’s easier to explain price once than to apologize for quality forever. 

It is good from time to time to recall all those big and little reasons why you wanted to quit smoking in the first place. Reading this blog once in a while might also be helpful 

Things don’t just happen, people make them happen 

Good values are easier caught than taught. 

When we do more than we are paid to do, eventually we will be paid more for what we do. 

You are free to choose, but the choices you make today will determine what you have, be, and do in the tomorrow of your life. 

Discipline yourself to do the things you need to do when you need to do them, and the day will come when you will be able to do the things you want to do when you want to do them! 

True joy comes when you inspire, encourage, and guide someone else on a path that benefits him or her. 

In your hands you hold the seeds of failure or the potential for greatness. Your hands are capable, but they must be used and for the right things to reap the rewards you are capable of attaining. The choice is yours. 

If you don’t like the way you are, don’t worry about it. You can change the way you are. 

You cannot solve a problem until you acknowledge that you have one and accept responsibility for solving it. 

I will live a hope-filled life every day. I will handle my problems as opportunities in a different, more effective manner, based on the power of advanced mathematics; “You + God = Enough 

You never judge a day by the weather! 

The more you gripe about your problems, the more problems you have to gripe about! 

Where you start is not as important as where you finish. 

When you set goals, something inside of you starts saying, “Let’s go, let’s go,” and ceilings start to move up. 

Unless you have a definite, precise, clearly set goals, you are not going to realize the maximum potential that lies within you. 

You enhance your chances for success when you understand that your yearning power is more important than your earning power

How you see your future is much more important that what has happened in your past. 

Success Procedure: Run your day by the clock and your life with a vision. 

Create a life you can’t wait to live. 

The moment you begin to worry about the things you want and the things you don’t have in life is the moment you will lose your gratitude… The greatest source of happiness is the ability to be grateful at all times.

One of the greatest disasters of our time is our universal acceptance of the word “tolerance” as a great virtue.

Men are stupid. That much I know for sure. They say stupid things. They do stupid things. They hurt you for stupid reasons. But we love them all the same. My fiancee can be as stupid as can be at times, but then again so can I. We all can. Lets face it, life and love would be boring if we were all straight laced and smart. 

This morning did you wake up to an alarm clock or an opportunity clock? 

We can let our past [difficulties and failures] beat us or teach us [to be more knowledgeable, competent and realistic in the future]! 

Why we are here is important, but to know where we are going is imperative. It’s not what you’ve got, it’s what you use, that makes a difference in how your life turns out. 

The definition of success is getting many of the things money can buy and all the things money can’t buy. 

You’ll never meet a happy ungrateful person, or an unhappy grateful person because gratitude and happiness go together. Sometimes happiness precedes gratitude but often gratitude precedes happiness. The latter is achieved by realising things could be worse but aren’t and so feeling relieved, grateful and happy. 

Your gratitude attitude determines your life altitude. 

Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to [grow and] become successful. For that reason it makes sense to be grateful for adversities that help you grow, even if it is only in understanding and compassion for other’s suffering. 

Success is not a destination: It is a journey. The happiest people I know are those who are busy working toward specific objectives. The most bored and miserable people I know are those who are drifting along with no worthwhile objectives in mind. 

You never know when one act, or one word of encouragement can change a life forever. 

There is no such thing as a lazy person; he is either sick or uninspired. 

You can change. You can be more than you are. 

Make failure your teacher, not your undertaker. 

Encouragement is the fuel on which hope runs. 

Your failures won’t hurt you until you start blaming them on others. 

Rather than shrinking away from your problems, grow bigger than them.

Making the family a top priority will invariably bring success.

Motivation needs to be a part of your own life for you to be effective in conveying it to others.

Before a person can achieve the kind of life he wants, he must think, act, walk, talk and conduct himself in all of his affairs as would the person he wishes to become. 

God will take care of what you go through. You take care of how you go through it. 

If you don’t like your situation in life, don’t fret or worry-do something about it. Worry less, and act more. 

Quit counting time and start making time count 

There is a difference between standard of living and quality of life. Quality of life is more important. 

Encouragement and hope are the two most powerful qualities any person can provide to others. 

Those who won’t take a chance don’t have a chance. 

There will always be people in your life who treat you wrong. Be sure to thank them for making you strong. 

it’s not how far you fall, but how high you bounce that counts. 

Husbands and wives, first, be faithful to each other. Second, keep the romance going all of your life by courting each other every day. 

money is not everything but it ranks right up there with oxygen 

Lectures often confuse our kids, but the example we set is crystal clear. 

Even in tragedy, God through His Word offers hope for those who seek and believe. It starts with the promise of a better tomorrow, of life everlasting, of eternal peace. It’s called faith, and it offers hope where none existed. 

The height of your success is determined by the depth of your belief. 

The same God who created Rembrandt created you, and you are as precious in God’s sight as Rembrandt or anyone else. 

When the wrong people leave your life, the right things start to happen. 

What you do today can change all the tomorrow’s of your life. 

The way you see things – your attitude – is the most important factor in your success. 

The seed of a bamboo tree is planted, fertilized and watered. Nothing happens for the first year. There’s no sign of growth. Not even a hint. The same thing happens – or doesn’t happen – the second year. And then the third year. The tree is carefully watered and fertilized each year, but nothing shows. No growth. No anything. For eight years it can continue. Eight years! Then – after the eight years of fertilizing and watering have passed, with nothing to show for it – the bamboo tree suddenly sprouts and grows thirty feet in three months! 

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and Start being positive about what could go right. 

If we grow weary and give up, the goal remains for someone else to achieve. 

If you will be hard on yourself, life will be easy on you. But if you insist upon being easy on yourself, life is going to be very hard on you. 

Your thinking today determines your performance today. 

You are the only person in existence who can use your potential. It is an awesome responsibility. 

You never know when a helping hand will change another person’s entire life. 

A solid foundation for children involves a solid moral base 

While 9-5 and what happens on the job is important, what happens from 5-9, off the job, is infinitely more important. 

The best time to do something significant is between yesterday and tomorrow. 

You can’t have a million dollar dream with a minimum wage work ethic. 

I opened two gifts this morning. They were my eyes. 

A smart salesperson listens to emotions not facts. 

Possibly the greatest waste in life is the gap between what you are and what you could become. 

A positive attitude will have positive results because attitudes are contagious. 

You will never find a truly happy self-centered person. They simply don’t exist.

You have to feed your mind daily with the good, clean, pure, powerful and positive. 

Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment. 

As long as you can laugh at you, it won’t bother you when others laugh at you. 

How happy you are depends to a very large degree on your relationships with other people. 

When you make people feel important, you’re going to be ahead of the game.

My first professional job was to sell heavy-duty water less cookware. 

You cannot achieve someone else’s goals. 

Beautiful things happen in your life when you distance yourself from the negative things. 

When we separate the word business into its component letters, B-U-S-I-N-E-S-S, we find that U and I are both in it. In fact, if U and I were not in business, it would not be business. Furthermore, we discover that U comes before I in business and the I is silent-it is to be seen, not heard. Also, the U in business has the sound of I, which indicates it is an amalgamation of the interests of U and I. When they are properly amalgamated, business becomes harmonious, profitable, and pleasant. 

Success comes in cans, failure comes in can’ts. 

What you picture in your mind, your mind will go to work to accomplish. When you change your pictures you automatically change your performance 

It’s impossible to consistently behave in a manner inconsistent with how we see ourselves. We can do very few things in a positive way if we feel negative about ourselves. 

Have an attitude of gratidude and you will have more to be grateful for; have a complaining spirit and you will attract more to complain about. 

If you don’t have time to invest in a goals program is it possible that you don’t have time because you don’t have a goals program? 

If you go out looking for friends, they’ll be scarce. If you go out looking to be one, you’ll have all the friends you need. 

If you are somebody to anybody, you’re somebody. 

Every time passionate people fail, they are convinced that they are simply one step closer to fulfilling their dream. 

If you want to catch the right mental attitude, go where that attitude exists. Start by going to the people who have the right mental attitude. If the right people aren’t always available, then go the right book, or to the right recording of a dynamic speaker. 

Feed your mind with the good, the clean, the pure, the powerful, and the positive 

If you love to read, you can learn anything you really want to know.

I have no way of knowing whether or not you married the wrong person. But I do know that if you treat the wrong person like the right person, you could well end up having married the right person after all. It is far more important to BE the right kind of person than it is to marry the right person.

God sees everything at once and knows what you are called to do. Our part is not to play God, but to trust God – to believe that our single, solitary life can make a difference

Today be thankful and think how rich you are. Your family is priceless, your time is gold and your health is wealth. 

If we do not feel grateful for what we already have, what makes us think we’d be happy with more. 

Success comes from repeated efforts day in and day out. You learn from your mistakes, make adjustments and continue pressing forward until you achieve the results you desire. 

A clear rejection is always better than a fake promise. 

Live in such a way that if someone should speak badly of you, no one would believe it. 

A good relationship is when someone accepts your past, supports your present and encourages your future. 

Don’t start your day with broken pieces of the past. Yesterday ended last night. Today is a brand new day and it’s yours. 

When you do more than you’re paid for eventually you will get paid for more than you do. This is a basic truth that also applies to Business, Sales or anything you do. Whatever your endeavor always provide more service than you get paid for and you will develop a reputation that will separate you from the rest. 

Most of the problems in life are because of two reasons, we act without thinking or we keep thinking without acting. 

Be strong, but not rude; Be kind, but not weak; Be bold, but not bully; Be humble, but not timid; Be prooud, but not arrogant. 

A second chance doesn’t mean anything if you haven’t learned from your first mistake. 

Speak in such a way that others love to listen to you. Listen in such a way that others love to speak to you. 

You know that he who would be the greatest among you must become the servant of all. 

You know that failure prelude to being the victim of what is criminally wrong. 

Happiness is like a kiss, in order to get any good out of it, you have to give it to someone else. 

The most destitute person in the world is the one without a smile. 

It is nobler to love the person next to you than to love mankind in general. 

Motivation fuels the attitude that builds the Confidence necessary to sustain the Persistence. 

The way you see yourself today will affect your performance today. 

You become great by going small thing in a great way. 

What you do off the job plays a major role in how far you go on the job. How many good books, do you read each year? How often do you attend workshops? Who do you spend must of your time with? 

When you break goal into increment and start controlling your time, things begin to happen. 

In most cases there are obstacle standing between you and those opportunities in life but, I just want you to know that front row seat is available everywhere. 

When you change your thinking, you change actions, when you change your action you change your future. 

Simple smile, a cheerful hello or a word of encouragement It’s amazing what an impact you will have. 

Give the world your best and you will get the best out of the world. 

The profile of a wealthy person is this hard work, perseverance, and most of all, self-discipline. 

Look at the bright side no matter how old you are, you are younger than you’ll ever be again. 

Responsibility and commitment are key elements in meeting obligations. 

Check the records; there has never been an undisciplined person who was a champion. Regardless of the field of endeavor, you’ll find this to be true. 

You cannot go higher than you think you can. 

The only thing worse than losing an employee you have trained is keeping an employee you haven’t trained. 

Fortunately, problems are an everyday part of our life. Consider this: If there were no problems, most of us would be unemployed. Realistically, the more problems we have and the larger they are, the greater our value to our employer. 

When our goals are clearly defined and intelligently set, you have, in essence, taken a major step toward programming your left brain. That frees your right brain to be its creative best. 

A pleasing personality helps you win friends and influence people. Add character to that formula, and keep those friends and maintain that influence. 

You cannot make it as a wandering generality. You must become a meaningful specific.

Today is the tomorrow you were optimistic about yesterday. What are you doing today to make tomorrow as rewarding as you had hoped today would be? 

You can’t climb a smooth mountain 

The main reason for people’s lack of success is their willingness to give up what they want most of all, for what they want right now! 

Did you know that every human being is created with a purpose and that they have a responsibility to not only discover their purpose but also to fulfill it? 

Attitude and not the Aptitude decide the Altitude you reach in life. 

When you make a mistake, be excited! Analyze what happened, and learn from it. 

We fail our children if we say, ‘Don’t do as I do, but do as I say’. 

Many times the difference between your accomplishment and your failure is your attitude. 

There is power in words. What you say is what you get. 

A sincere compliment is one of the most effective tools to teach and motivate others. 

Keep trying. It’s only from the valley that the mountain seems high. 

When we change the input into our minds, we change the output into our lives. 

Your success and happiness start with you. 

Our daily objectives should include an honest effort to improve on yesterday. 

Effort is the key, but direction and loyalty are paramount. 

Desire is the great equalizer. 

When you plan and prepare carefully, you can legitimately expect to have success in your efforts. An optimistic, positive mind is far more likely to come up with creative solutions than a mind that dwells on setbacks and difficulties. Bottom line: expect success and you can achieve it! 

You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want. 

The world’s most deadly disease is hardening of the attitudes. 

When you give a man a dole, you deny him his dignity, and when you deny him his dignity you rob him of his destiny. 

Failure has been correctly identified as the line of least persistence.

If you don’t save something on your current income, you won’t save anything on your future income.

I don’t care how much power, brilliance or energy you have, if you don’t harness it and focus it on a specific target, and hold it there you’re never going to accomplish as much as your ability warrants. 

If you want to reach a goal, you must “see the reaching” in your own mind before you actually arrive at your goal. 

Money isn’t the most important thing in life, but it’s reasonably close to oxygen on the “gotta have it” scale. 

Even people who don’t share my specific faith (denomination, beliefs, etc.) are typically enthusiastic about my profession of faith in God and my commitment to living to God-given standards. 

I am convinced after more than 50 years in the field of motivation that anyone who wants to learn to look at life and/or their circumstances in a positive light can do so. 

I wouldn’t say ‘most’ people are prone to negativity. I think it’s probably that most people allow negativity to color their thinking, depending on circumstances, but I also believe most people make the necessary efforts to return to positive thinking as quickly as possible. 

I am so thankful I had the strength and promises of a loving God to guide my choices and decisions, and to uphold me through the unbelievably dark days and times of overwhelming sorrow. 

Hard times always uncover the basic goodness and evil of the day. 

It’s our responsibility to see to it that the good outweighs the evil and I am convinced beyond a doubt that today’s Americans will do exactly that! 

Surrogate fathers and other male figures stepped in to give guidance after my dad died. Businessmen taught me to honor my commitments; others gave me opportunities beyond my wildest imaginations. Authors and speakers set good, solid examples of high standards and lofty goals for me; mature, committed Christians nurtured and instructed me. 

All one needs to do is read – books, magazines, research the Internet – and pay attention to the influencers in their lives to discover the myriad people of strong moral character who have and still are making positive, meaningful contributions and differences in our world. 

I suggest the greatest challenge to Christians in the business world is within – making the heart determination (simply put, the choice) to live by God’s principles and sticking with it; making the commitment to serving Christ and mankind with our efforts, our gifts and our knowledge. 

Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting – in the trying, not the triumph, Success is a personal standard – reaching for the highest that is in us – becoming all that we can be. If we do our best, we are a success. Success is the maximum utilization of the ability that you have. 

For every sale you miss you’re too enthusiastic, you will miss a hundred because you’re not enthusiastic enough. 

An optimist is someone who goes after Moby Dick in a rowboat and takes the tartar sauce with him. 

It’s your aptitude, not just your attitude that determines your ultimate altitude. 

Efficiency is doing things right. Effectiveness is doing the right thing. 

When a company or individual compromises one time, whether it’s on price or principle, the next compromise is right around the corner and you can bet your last nickel on it. 

It makes no difference where you go, there you are. And it makes no difference what you have, there’s always more to want. Until you are happy with who you are, you will never be happy because of what you have. 

If you want to achieve your goals, help others achieve theirs. 

People always say ‘Motivation is great but it doesn’t last.’ I just tell them, bathing does not last either, that is why I recommend it daily. 

Setting goals helps bring your future into your present and the present is the only time we can take action. 

When you choose a habit, you also choose the end of that habit. 

We build our character from the bricks of habit we pile up day by day. 

When you’re grieving that’s not the time to be brave or strong, you need to let it show 

Chance made us sisters. Hearts made us friends. 

The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want right now 

Successful people use their strength by recognizing, developing, and utilizing the talents of others. 

Duty makes us do things well, but love makes us do them beautifully. 

Everybody says they want to be free. Take the train off the tracks and it’s free-but it can’t go anywhere. 

When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there. 

Some of us learn from other people’s mistakes and the rest of us have to be other people. 

Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart. 

You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great 

A narrow mind and a fat head invariably come on the same person. 

Outstanding people have one thing in common: an absolute sense of mission 

If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time. 

A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could because someone else thought they could 

Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs. 

The greatest of all mistakes is to do nothing because you think you can only do a little. 

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will. 

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.

Be grateful for what you have and stop complaining – it bores everybody else, does you no good, and doesn’t solve any problems.

They make the commitment and pursue that dream with dogged patience and persistence. Commitment produces consistent, enthusiastic effort that inevitably produces greater and greater rewards. 

The best recipe for happiness and contentment I’ve seen is this: dig a big hole in the garden of your thoughts and put into it all your disillusions, disappointments, regrets, worries, troubles, doubts, and fears. Cover well with the earth of fruitfulness. Water it from the well of contentment. Sow on top the seeds of hope, courage, strength, patience, and love. Then when the time for gathering comes, may your harvest be a rich and fruitful one. 

I get lots of ideas when the lights go out at night and it gets very quiet. Sometimes they come when I first lie down to sleep; other times I wake up with an idea racing through my mind. But regardless of when an idea comes, I have made it a habit to get out of bed and write the idea down before it disappears into my dreams. You should do the same. 

I win not because of my own efforts or my own goodness, but rather through the grace, love, and mercy of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He died so that I might win this game of life and live with Him forever. 

Nothing is more inspiring than a person with seemingly mediocre talent rising against the odds to become a champion by way of hard work, effort, and perseverance toward their goals. 

My core philosophy on winning and motivation is summed up by saying that you were born to win, but in order to be the winner you were born to be, you have to plan to win and prepare to win before you can expect to win. 

All you need to find and accomplish God’s purpose in your life is God’s permission and approval-not anyone else’s. When you get in step with Him, there will be a glow on your face that will make people wonder what you’re up to. 

Many people say, “When I get a million dollars, then I’ll be happy because I’ll have security,” but that’s not necessarily so. Most people who acquire a million dollars want another and then another. Or they could be like a good friend of mine who made and lost every dime of a million dollars. It didn’t bother him a bit. He wasn’t excited about it, but he explained to me, “Zig, I still know everything necessary to make another million dollars, and I’ve learned what to do not to lost it. I’ll simply go back to work and earn it again. 

I’m often asked, Which is more important-attitude or skill? The answer is that it’s somewhat like asking which leg of a three-legged stool is most important. It is my complete conviction, based on a considerable amount of research, that if you have the right attitude, combined with the right skills, and build your attitude and your skills on a solid character base, you can enjoy long-lasting success. 

You might occasionally feel that some people are standing in the way and slowing your progress, but in reality the biggest person standing in your way is you. Others can stop you temporarily – you are the only one who can do it permanently. 

Every person has unique gifts, and those gifts give him or her the power and the opportunity to accomplish great things, if he or she learns how to use those gifts and channel them in the right direction. 

Many times Christians state their love for the Lord and their willingness to die for Him. I will make no pretense of knowing the Lord’s will in your life, but I do feel that in most cases the Lord is far more interested in our living for Him than He is in our dying for Him. 

Obviously, raw talent is important, but the difference-maker between first and the rest of the pack is usually desire. 

The usual devastating put-downs imply that a person is basically bad, rather than that he is a person who sometimes does bad things. Obviously, there is a vast difference between a “bad” person and a person who does something bad.Besides, failure is an event, it is not a person – yesterday ended last night. 

As you head toward your goals, be prepared to make some slight adjustments to your course. You don’t change your decision to go – you do change your direction to get there. 

Secrets of Closing the Sale, is essential reading. Ziglar tells us that selling and closing are not mysteries to be solved; instead they are as tangible as when his wife up-sold him on a new house. 

Once you learn to do something consciously, you can move it into the subconscious and do it well. Everything you do well will be done subconsciously. 

People who truly understand God’s purpose for their lives know that we are called to be intimately involved with one another. 

Of course motivation is not permanent. But then, neither is bathing; but it is something you should do on a regular basis. 

Failing is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night. 

In the blink of an eye everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You may not have that chance again. 

Positive thinking will let you use the ability which you have, and that is awesome.
